A total of 11,84,386 students appeared this year in CBSE Board Exams2018 held from March 5th to April 27and 9,18,76 passed out of them .
This year, CBSE recorded a pass out total 83.01 % which has increased nearly 1 % as compared to last year 82.02 %. A total of 91,818 students have got a compartment indicates a total 8.3%. XII CBSE topper, Meghna Srivatsava who has been a student of Step By Step School in Noida has scored 499 marks.
Anoushka Chand, a humanities stream student like Meghna Srivatsava from a school in Ghaziabad has got second position obtaining a total 498 marks out of 500.
The third position has also gone in favour of six girls who have secured 497 marks. So for the top three positions have been achieved by girl students.
The pass percentage for girls has been recorded 88.31% e while for boys, it is gone 78.99% only. In the differently-abled category, Vijay Ganesh from Kerela topped the Class 12 CBSE exams by securing 482 marks.
