More than 3566 Foreign Applications in DU

The craze of foreign students in Delhi University (DU) seems to be raised very high. More than 3000 applications are applied by the foreign students for admission in DU. Previous year the applications limited upto 3000 whereas this year more than 500 applications are added to it. The applications which are found are for Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate courses. The registration procedure for Ph.D. is on process. 
According to University officials, students from Europe, Africa and South Asia have applied for various courses in DU. Education found in DU is found to be good and beneficial which has paved way to the increment of number of students not only in India but also from other foreign countries. Courses such as Management, Commerce Honors and Economics Honors is the first choice of foreign students. The process of admission for foreigners starts in February. Office sends scrutiny to the selection department, where it select students as per the merit. There is no entrance test conducted for the foreign students. 
Deputy Dean, Dr, Ashutosh Bhardwaj says that this year applications are in a heavy number from the students of from Spain, Astonia, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Congo, Nigeria, Pakistan, Tanzania, Maldives and Tibet. Most of the applications are from Afghanistan, Nepal and Tibet. The counting of applications of these countries remain more comparison to other countries. There are total 2506 registrations from online applications. Apart from this, applications from the scheme of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) were 815. 245 applications for MBA Program in Faculty of Management were received. Last year there were near about 2400 applications including both UG & PG courses. And 600 applications were from ICCR. 
There are 2500 seats for Undergraduate courses and 450 seats for Post-Graduate courses in DU. Around 500 seats are there for P.Hd-M.Phil, PG Diploma and Certificate courses. 5% seat (Supernumerary) is reserved for the foreign students in Under-Graduate, Post-Graduate, M.Phil, P.Hd, Diploma, PG Diploma courses. Dean Ashutosh also said that at present there are nearly 1560 students in DU. Every year students from more than 100 countries apply in DU. For this along with the International facility, hostel for girls and boys is also there. It is also noticed that due to good security, Cheap but quality education, the graph of foreign students has increased.
