Govt. School Teacher Ranjit Singh Disale wins Global Teacher Award of worth 7.4 Crore

Students of the 21st century are being taught by teachers of the 20th century using 19th-century curriculum and 18th-century techniques and only technology can remove these mismatches, said Ranjitsinh Disale, winner Rs 7.4 crore of Global Teacher Prize 2020.
 The technology could be effectively used in bridging several of the gaps that currently exist in the education system, he said in a fireside chat, with Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India, organized in connection with the company’s EduDays, a three-day annual event that highlights the role of technology in education and learning for teachers and students.
 “The Covid-19 pandemic has exposed education and the communities it serves in a multitude of ways. But in this hard time, teachers are giving their best to make sure every student has access to their birthright of a good education,” said Disale,
