From 2022-23, the university will not take admission in Ayurveda and Unani. Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University will take admission from the new session.
The proposal to link both faculties with AYUSH University has been approved by the Executive Council of LU. After the withdrawal of Ayurveda and Unani faculties from Lucknow University, only pharmacy remains as medical education. which has just started.
All the students studying AYUSH stream will now get a degree from AYUSH University. Along with this, all the government and non-government colleges of Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopath in the state are being affiliated with AYUSH University.
LU will no longer take admission, the Executive Council has stamped, Lucknow University spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava said that the proposal to affiliate both the faculties of the University with Ayurveda and Unani Ayush University had been passed by the Executive Council. It is affiliated with Ayush University. Lucknow University ran one government and 10 private colleges each of Ayurveda and Unani.
