Appreciate Your Star Performers!

Organizations must not be unrealistic in setting the targets and deadlines for the employees. It is not in the best interests of the organization itself as well as the employees when there are unrealistic targets and deadlines. Organizations’ must understand how their hard-working and good performers achieve good results, and what are costs involved for them.

A big challenge emerging in the organizations is not to properly manage their resources. One of the serious concerns is that organizations are not doing justice to their star performers. It can be a sad story for the organizations if they are not able to motivate and retain their hard work and the best performers. It can also put star performers into trouble and they will turn into dull fellows if they are not given the best treatments for their hard work in the organization.
 Organizations’ need to keep their hard-working and star performers engaged, focused, and motivated. Experts suggest organizations need not be tempted to bend the feedback rules for top performers. However, it is always essential to follow a good feedback practice. It is the responsibility of the organizations that they must do justice to their hardworking employees. Organizations’ must do the proper homework; gather data and details to support their feedback. They must describe behaviors, not traits. They must highly focus on what the employee can change in the future.

Organizations must understand how their hard-working and good performers achieve good results, and what are costs involved for them.  The star performers are always perfect must also not be assumed by the organizations. Everyone has a scope for improvement and the hard-working and star performers are not an exception. One can show improvements in his/her current job or the next assignment, within the current set of capabilities or a broader set that will likely come in handy in the future.
 Organizations need to show gratitude towards employees for their hard work, contribution and success.    The employees will appreciate it deeply if the recognition of their efforts is followed by sincere inputs towards a more promising future.  Organisations can do a lot of harm if they fail to help their hard-working employees figure out how they can continue to achieve more in their career path. They must seriously work towards the future goals and aspirations of their employees. There must be serious efforts to solve their problems and help them to overcome the obstacles that may pose a challenge to them. Organisations cannot succeed without their hardworking and performing employees. There must be serious efforts and commitment towards employee motivation and development.
