Online vs Offline Learning
| Kunda Bacchav - 16 Aug 2023

Recently, UNESCO warned to ban smartphones from schools, and online and offline education has again come to the fore. Why should UNESCO give instructions to expel the same smartphone from school today, which has helped students, parents, and teachers keep children connected with education and keep them in the flow of education..? As a result, it is time for the smartphone to give rise to online education as a result.
When something is overdone, its side effects start to be felt, and then it is time to stop that thing. In that way, the same happened with the smartphone or the online education provided. When the schools were closed, the use of the smartphone, which was the teacher, guide, and friend of all the students, had become so excessive. Today the students and children have cut off all other relationships and kept the smartphone close. Hence, innocence, loveliness, mischievousness, playful attitude, laughter, gardening, and fun in children have been lost due to the smartphone, which has made children a machine just like it. Today, children carry smartphones or other gadgets for study and are increasingly addicted to them and using them for bad things.  They are seen wasting hours on apps like Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Nowadays, the fad of making reels, posting them on social media, and getting maximum likes and followers has been created among today’s young teenagers, which is why online education is getting a bad name. The desired good effect of education is not seen. The actions of these children deteriorate the value of education. Smartphones are being misused by students in the name of online education.
